Fractus Sextet is a fusion of various musical worlds. In their work, they refer to many genres, including jazz and classical music. The band was created in 2016 and consists of prominent Tricity musicians – teachers of The Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk. This is a complete novelty on the Polish music market, but because of its foundations – very promising. The band's first project is "Songs Without Words", that is a vocal expression transferred to instruments – a clear, decisive message captured not by words but by sounds.
Fractus Sextet is a combination of two different groups of instruments. On the one hand, a classical trio: the violin, cello and piano. On the other hand, a jazz trio: the saxophone, bass guitar and drums. All songs for Fractus Sextet are the compositions of Beniamin Baczewski. Fractus Sextet Tomasz Jocz - grand piano Andrzej Kacprzak - violin Karol Sokołowski - bioloncello Dawid Głowacki - saxophone, clarinet Grzegorz Lewandowski - drums Beniamin Baczewski - bass guitar |
